Frequently asked questions

From your very first visit to our practice, we can assist you with the most important aspects of the therapy you need, offering continuous advice and support as well as individual programmes for you to follow at home. The following page outlines key information on our practice.

Your first appointment: what should I bring with me?

It's best to bring casual, comfortable sportswear. A detailed history of your current condition will be taken as part of our initial assessment so we can hear your story, conduct a thorough examination and explain to you what's going on. Based on our clinical diagnosis, a thorough treatment plan and prognosis will be discussed with you. Under the supervision of our therapist a treatment program will be prescribed which will include a detailed explanation of your condition, a treatment plan including appropriate care and advice with a therapeutic exercise program should it be necessary.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

You do not need a referral from your doctor. If you have a prescription from your GP / consultant for the physiotherapeutic treatment, you should bring this along as well as any documentation of your past medical history.
